With diverse expertise in business, education, healthcare, and nonprofit leadership, our board provides vision, governance, and mentorship to ensure lasting impact, collective growth, and a stronger, more resilient community.
Dr. Gloria Umutangana
Dr. Gloria is the Founder of LLF, where she leads with a deep commitment to service, healing, and community care. For her, dentistry is not just a profession—it is a lifetime commitment to service and community care; a calling rooted in compassion and resilience.
A survivor of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, Dr. Gloria’s early life experiences shaped her dedication to justice, inclusion, and giving back. She earned her bachelor's degree in Disability Studies from Toronto’s Ryerson University, where her passion for advocacy and accessibility took root.
Dr. Gloria went on to graduate from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry and currently practices general dentistry in both Texas and California. She is a proud member of the Special Care Dentistry Association and the Christian Medical & Dental Associations, with a special interest in caring for individuals with disabilities and underserved communities.
Through LLF, Dr. Gloria combines her professional expertise with a lifelong mission to create lasting impact at the intersection of oral health and social justice. She approaches this work with gratitude, purpose, and hope for a more equitable future.
